That was the case recently in New York when people walking beneath a billboard for the A&E show Paranormal State suddenly heard a woman's disembodied voice whisper: "Who's there? A&E promotes its show 'Paranormal State' in New York by directing whispers from a disembodied woman to pedestrians. The creepy effect was caused by technology called Audio Spotlight that projects sound in a focused beam so only people in a certain spot can hear it. That "directed sound" system is the work of Joseph Pompei, an engineer who founded Holosonic Research Labs Inc. in Watertown.
"There is an interesting perception of the sound being inside your head," Pompei said.
Thanks to the spread of digital video signs and pressure on advertisers to reach consumers in new ways, the business of directed sound has begun to take off for a handful of companies.
"The idea of directing sound was a real uphill battle when we first started, but all of a sudden people are coming to us saying, 'We have to have directional sound. We don't want all this noise in our store,' " said Woody Norris, founder of American Technology Corp. in San Diego.
Norris sells the HyperSonic Sound system, which uses the same principles as the Holosonic product. Norris said he has sold many units for use with video screens in checkout lines in Kroger- and Meijer-owned grocery stores so audio can reach waiting customers without constantly bombarding store workers.

A US company claims it is ready to build a microwave ray gun able to beam sounds directly into people's heads. The device – dubbed MEDUSA (Mob Excess Deterrent Using Silent Audio) – exploits the microwave audio effect, in which short microwave pulses rapidly heat tissue, causing a shockwave inside the skull that can be detected by the ears. A series of pulses can be transmitted to produce recognisable sounds.
The device is aimed for military or crowd-control applications, but may have other uses.
Lev Sadovnik of the Sierra Nevada Corporation in the US is working on the system, having started work on a US navy research contract. The navy's report states that the effect was shown to be effective.

MEDUSA involves a microwave auditory effect "loud" enough to cause discomfort or even incapacitation. Sadovnik says that normal audio safety limits do not apply since the sound does not enter through the eardrums.
"The repel effect is a combination of loudness and the irritation factor," he says. "You can’t block it out." Sadovnik says the device will work thanks to a new reconfigurable antenna developed by colleague Vladimir Manasson. It steers the beam electronically, making it possible to flip from a broad to a narrow beam, or aim at multiple targets simultaneously. Sadovnik says the technology could have non-military applications.

I have known for a long time that people employed at TELIA in Sweden, during many years probably since the early 80's, without authorization has conducted microwave hearing experiments. They have beenusing private people as white mice without them knowing about it. They have developed the knowledge/technology using already existing installations and in some cases their have even been less particular military communication employees and even TERRACOM employees, unofficially involved.Since Sweden is considered to be a democracy this technology can not yet be officially used. Today this TELIA accumulated knowledge and technology are used by unscrupulous, often younger, employees as a way of having fun at late workhours. I knowmany of my younger collegues and technicians that consider this activity to be some kind of a role play. They do not understand the destructiveness for the people that they are "playing" with. I have myself, at many occations earlier, been a part of this destructive unofficial "fun and games business" but i am not a part of it anymore. I have even unofficially tried to stop these microwave harrassments. The sad thing is that this stupied roleplay business seems to be so cemented in the organisation that it looks unstoppable. Younger employees learns this trade by older mentors and many of them seems to regard it so much fun that they cannot quit their destructive behaviour. The worst thing is that this roleplay business, in some cases, has gone so far that private people has become crippled for life and a few people has even been killed since bloodvessels to their brains has contracted so much that they have got stroke attacs. I want to contribute with this information to the open dialog about microwave herrassment beacouse i think it ought to be stopped! My own earlier participation was based on stupidity and curiousity but since i am basically both a humanist and a technician i consider this unofficial TELIA business to be a plaegue that ought to be stopped before it spreds to other smaller organisations and becomes a threath to private peoples security and a threat to the law.

Questo articolo ci racconta dell’uso di piccoli elettroshock compiuti meglio se entro sei ore dal fatto traumatico, perché questo non sia mantenuto nella memoria. E si propone questa idea (che sa molto di esperimento nazista) come una possibile cura delle fobie. Non è solo inutile ma pericoloso spacciare che si possano curare fobie (o profonde paure) non ricercando la causa ed elaborandola, ma cancellandola a botte di TEC. Che razza di “terapia” sarebbe (e le virgolette sono d’obbligo)? Qui siamo ancora oltre il film “Se mi lasci, ti cancello”. Si tratta di curare una paura cancellandola. Non è un modo per  lobotomizzare, questo?

Prince also founded (1927) and directed the Harvard Psychological Clinic, where he was succeeded by his assistant Henry A. Murray . Perchè agenti segreti, spie, informatori, assassini... "costruiti" per mezzo del lavaggio del cervello funzionano meglio dei consapevoli, stipendiati agenti segreti / spie?

Bambini? Inauditi crimini - talmente inauditi da non venir troppo spesso creduti - proprio contro bambini? Contro bambini in quanto "piccole cavie" indifese e contro bambini in quanto "addestrabili" potenziali criminali? E d'altra parte: come distinguere testimonianze di "fatti" da elucubrazioni deliranti? Ecco una CONCRETA e PERSONALE innoppugnabile risposta a questa domanda da parte di chi davvero conosce bene il vissuto e il ri-vissuto di entrambe queste due possibilità tramite una continuazione della testimonianza spontanea: 22.12.2008

Un procès aura lieu 8 ans plus tard. On parlera de tout. Sauf de Julie et Melissa. On ne sait toujours pas qui les a enlevées, ce qu’elles ont subi, pourquoi et comment elles sont mortes. On ne sait pas pourquoi Dutroux a menti. On sait qu’il y a une tache de sang de Julie sur le mur de la cache de la cave, mêlé à un a.d.n inconnu. On sait qu’on a retrouvé 6000 cheveux...qui sont quelque part en attente, dans un ou plusieurs laboratoires... On ne sait qu’en faire... de la vérité ? Vous avez dit « vérité » ?
L'année 2007 sera t" elle l'année de l' "enterrement programmé' par la justice de notre pays du dossier Dutroux. Les parents des enfants assassinés resteront-ils avec leurs questionnements jusqu"à la fin de leurs jours sans que la clarté ne fut faite sur la mort atroce de jeunes enfants qui ne demandaient qu"à mordre dans la vie à pleines dents.
